My Ryobi weedwhacker died, I liked what I read about this Hitachi elsewhere, and I had some hope of fitting my now-useless Ryobi saw, blower, etc. onto this unit (I think that Ryobi is the similar size as a number of other brands that take attachments) but even even though they look incredibly related in pictures, the Ryobi devices will not mate with the Hitachi. One particular is as well massive for the other to fit by a compact margin. Maybe this winter I will appear for a way to modify or adapt them to do so. I do like the Hitachi's operation and handling particularly properly and suggest it, but Amazon ships it in the "store box" only, so check for harm cautiously, there are components rattling about inside.
