The trimmer arrived with a broken off choke adjustment (can not adjust choke to commence engine) and a broken air box which holds the air filter and cover in place. The broken off parts had been not in the shipping box so I have to assume that it was broken when it left the reconditioning facility. The trimmer may well function fine, I don't know. My dissatisfaction is in the apparent lack of oversight in reconditioning. I think it is a gamble buying this trimmer.
I bought this weedeater from VM Innovations. The 1st weedeater started hard and would not preserve operating....I sent it back the next day and it expense me $25 to send it back as the vendor will not spend for shipments back of defective product.
Against my far better judgement I accepted a replacement thinking the initial 1 was just a one time defective item. The second arrived and worked for about 20 minutes and the shaft became so hot that it melted the guard which was plastic and began smoking. So again I shipped it back at my expense (a further $25). Beware if you acquire from this vendor as they will not spend shipping on a defective product.....and if you send back a defective item they will charge you a 10% restock fee if you do not take a replacement and want a refund. This is the most frustrating encounter that I have had shopping on the internet....not only the inconvenience ....but the waste of revenue (I spent $50 and still do not have a weedeater)
